hi,

sorry for this off-topic qustion, but i hope someone of you might know this: i
know you can place plasmoids on the desktop or put them in the panel. but is
it also possible to hide them at a border like the panel (so that they appear
automatically when the mouse pointer is that border)? if that's not possible
yet, i'll probably write a feature request, because for most widgets i'd find
that more useful than having them fixed on my desktop all the time.

Hi,

Just from a translator point of view, from the current string catalog, it is not possible for non-Kirigami-based applications. However, Kirigami should allow all those things common for mobiles.

I think you could create a panel at the border which autohides and then place
the plasmoid in there. But I don't know how well it works.

The Plasma guys can help you more on their mailing list:
https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/plasma-devel
or in #plasma on freenode IRC.
