Hi!

This is to let you know that RKWard 0.7.0 is now available, officially.
Read more on new features and fixes on https://rkward.kde.org .

Thanks to all who provided feedback, testing, translations,
documentation, and code!

Today I upgraded RKWard to 0.7.0, considering it safe as to upgrade
as it is in the cran-stable PPA. However, after upgrading I get this
'The KDE installation could not be found (kreadconfig5). When moving /
copying RKWard, make sure to copy the whole application folder, or
create a shorcut / link, instead.'
I am on Linux Mint 18.3 MATE and use the CRAN version of R (3.4.4). I
uninstalled/re-installed RKWARD several launchpad PPAs, including the
kf5 daily builds, but all give the same error.
Am I missing something? Any ideas how to fix this? Any dependencies I
need to install?
kreadconfig5 should be in libkf5config-bin . Is that installed? Does
installing it fix the issue?

Dear Thomas,
Thanks for your rapid response! Yes, this solved the issue! Great,
thanks a lot!
However, a new issue popped up: I the 'open script file' window, I
can't see any folders or files (just blank space). They do show up
when saving a script file or opening a workspace...
Any idea?
Not immediately, no. This should be just a regular file selection
dialog. Can you see anything in the "Files" tool window on the right
side of the main window? If you have installed kate or kwrite, do you
see the same issue in File->Open, there?
(Installing libkf5config-bin also changed the appearance of my
desktop...)
Hm. Probably it pulled in some additional dependencies. I'll look into
doing without this for future versions. (Actually it's just a
random binary that I _thought_ could be assumed to be present in any
KF5 installation...)

I hadn't installed kate or kwrite, but after installing the former
(which came with a whole bunch of kf5 packages), the file selection
window in rkward worked!
I'm glad things are working for you, now.

This probably means we're still missing at least one runtime dependency
- now pulled in by kate -, but I'm not sure which one that may be.

Am I correct in assuming that you set up your system not to install
"recommended" packages, automatically? (Which is no excuse for
breakage, of course, but may give a hint on where to look)

Regards
Thomas
